Day 1: Ruteng - Bajawa
Upon arrival to Labuan Bajo airport or pier in the morning, you’ll be met by our guide and driver who will assist you for the whole trip. En-route to Ruteng, the capital of Manggarai Regency, you’ll stop in the countryside of Cancar Village. Here, a short twenty minutes’ walk up leads to the top of a hill, a viewpoint offering an amazing view over a number of Lingko rice fields. With the round, spider-web structure, these unique rice-fields are particular to the Manggarai people: the central point is used for ceremonies celebrating the unity of the male and female and heaven and earth.
On arrival in Ruteng, check in to the hotel. After lunch or afternoon coffee break, you spend the rest of the day exploring Liang Bua, the limestone cave where the mystical dwarfs “Homo Floresiensie” supposed to have lived.

Day 2: Ruteng - Bajawa
After breakfast, you’ll proceed to Bajawa, a small and quiet town surrounded by mountains in the middle of Flores. En-route, you’ll stop at a view point of the lovely Ranamase Lake where you might be able to spot the wild Macaques hidden in the tropical forest. Further up, another stop in Aimere Village to see the tapping of palm juice and its distillation into palm wine also called “arak”.
Check in to the hotel upon arrival in Bajawa. Afterwards, explore the traditional village of Bena and Todolela, the home of the Bajawa tribes, to experience the unique local culture. These are very interesting traditional villages with megalithic formations, shrines and cone shaped houses. While walking to these villages you pass cultivated grounds with vanilla, candle nut, cacao, white pepper and coffee. In the afternoon, we can relax and digest all these impressions while you enjoy the hot springs of Malanage.

Day 3: Bajawa - Moni
After breakfast, set your way up to the lovely village of Moni at the foot of Mountain Kelimutu. Along the way, enjoy scenic view over the southern coast of Flores and its beautiful mountainous landscapes dotted with some macadamia nuts trees.Stop on the way for a walk along the unique blue pebble beach near Nagapanda.
Spend the afternoon walking around the village on your own or relax and enjoy the lovely ambience of the lodge.

Day 4: Moni - Maumere
Rise early to drive to the starting point of the hike to the Kelimutu volcano top where you’ll enjoy the sunrise over the three colour crater lakes. The endemic Bare-Throated-Whistler might welcome you with their song while you hike through the forest to the top. As the sun rises over the lake, we might see the colours changing – a spectacular experience. After this photogenic event, return to the hotel for proper breakfast.
After lunch, depart to Maumere, en-route we stop at the amazing twin beach of Koka.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, visit the traditional markets in Maumerethen continue to the mountain village ofWatublapi or Dokar with a long history and tradition of Ikat weaving. Here, you’llsee traditional dance performance and demonstration how Ikat cloths are made. Each step of the manufacturing starting with spinning and dyeing of cotton to the finished Ikat will be vividly explained.
Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to Maumere airport to catch the flight to the next destination.
